I cant believe that with one engine, 52 is picking up speed that quickly. It's possible the lead engine was just experiencing mechanical issues, and they got it going again?
The lead engine is running, you can tell by seeing the fumes as the exhaust rolls past the power pole in the background. The rear engine is probably the one providing head-end power for the train, and runs at a high fixed RPM.

I love the little pedestrian crossing signal at 7:48 and that it still works
I decided to look up what 87's original number was when it was a functional AC6000CW. And upon research on the official website and Facebook, I discovered the number. ACWR 87 is ex CSX 666/The Devil's Unit. ACWR turned CSX 666 into a cocktail dispenser so yeah. As for my opinion on the 87 I initially hated it as I am a sucker for the AC6000CW and consider it a horrible idea for a engine. But now I don't really have a problem with it. It's unique I'll give it that.

No, this GE deserves better than this. They should have just used the locomotive and not let people play with the shell of it.

That Aberdeen track seemed to be some of the smoothest, it seems like they could travel at a higher speed.
They could if there was more signals/lights at the grade crossings that they have.
